Of the 16 vessels fishing for Black Scabbardfish in mainland Portugal, 15 are associates of ArtesanalPesca. These 15 associates are responsible for over 90% of Scabbardfish catches in mainland Portugal.
In addition, we have 20 vessels fishing for Octopus and 7 vessels fishing for Sardines, Mackerel and Horse Mackerel.
All the associates’ vessels exclusively use traditional fishing methods.
